A Weekend of Community and Purpose Begins at Treadwell in Portsmouth NH
Some evenings carry more than a sense of occasion. They carry a purpose, a memory, and the feeling of a community choosing to show up together.
At Treadwell Mansion in downtown Portsmouth NH, that spirit filled the rooftop at Skyline at Treadwell as the Robinson Family Foundation opened its inaugural RFF Weekend with VIP Tip-Off Night. The gathering brought together supporters, community partners, families, and guests for an evening rooted in connection, generosity, and shared commitment to local mental health organizations.
Treadwell was proud to serve as the presenting sponsor of VIP Tip-Off Night, not as the center of the story, but as the setting where the weekend could begin with warmth and intention.

A rooftop beginning for RFF Weekend
VIP Tip-Off Night marked the opening event of the first RFF Weekend, a series of fundraising and community events organized by the Robinson Family Foundation. From the rooftop, the evening offered space for conversation, reflection, and support before a full weekend centered on basketball, mentorship, and mental health.
There was a fitting energy to the night. Skyline at Treadwell, perched above the streets of Portsmouth, gave guests a view of the city that would help carry the weekend forward. The setting felt celebratory, but also grounded. The focus stayed where it belonged, on the Robinson Family Foundation’s mission and on the many people who gathered to support it.
For Treadwell Mansion, welcoming the foundation and its guests reflected a simple belief: meaningful local work deserves thoughtful local spaces. The best events do more than fill a room. They create a place where people can connect with the reason they came.
Basketball, remembrance, and connection
After the rooftop kickoff, RFF Weekend continued with the EV3 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, held in honor of Eli Robinson. The tournament brought athletes and families together through the spirit of competition, remembrance, and community care.
Basketball has a way of inviting people in. It creates movement, teamwork, and a shared language across generations. At the EV3 Tournament, that energy became part of something larger than the game itself. It honored Eli’s memory while supporting a cause that touches families throughout the Seacoast and beyond.
The weekend also included the Duncan Robinson Basketball Clinic, where young athletes gathered for basketball, mentorship, and community connection. For many participants, the clinic offered more than time on the court. It created space to learn, listen, and be part of a positive environment shaped by encouragement.

A weekend with measurable impact
The impact of the inaugural RFF Weekend was significant. Together, the weekend’s events raised more than $170,000, with $100,000 awarded to five local mental-health-focused nonprofits.
Those numbers matter because they point to real support for organizations doing vital work close to home. Mental health care, outreach, and education depend on community investment. The Robinson Family Foundation’s ability to bring people together around that need made the weekend both meaningful and deeply practical.
More than $170,000 was raised during RFF Weekend, including $100,000 awarded to five local mental-health-focused nonprofits.
That kind of result does not come from one event alone. It reflects organizers, sponsors, volunteers, athletes, families, donors, and community partners all pulling in the same direction. It reflects Portsmouth’s willingness to gather with purpose.

Portsmouth as the common thread
Throughout the weekend, Portsmouth was more than a location. It was part of the story.
The city’s scale makes moments like this feel personal. Guests arriving downtown for VIP Tip-Off Night, families gathering around the tournament, young athletes stepping onto the court for the clinic, each part of the weekend carried the closeness of a community that knows how to support its own.
At Skyline at Treadwell, the first evening of RFF Weekend offered a view of that community from above. From there, the weekend moved outward, onto courts, into conversations, and toward local organizations working every day in the mental health space.
Treadwell Mansion is honored to have played a role in welcoming the Robinson Family Foundation, its supporters, and its partners to downtown Portsmouth NH. The weekend’s success belonged to the collective effort behind it, and to the mission that brought everyone together.

With gratitude for a meaningful first RFF Weekend
The inaugural RFF Weekend began with a rooftop gathering, continued through basketball and mentorship, and resulted in meaningful support for local mental-health-focused nonprofits. More than anything, it showed what can happen when purpose meets community.
Treadwell Mansion extends heartfelt gratitude to the Robinson Family Foundation for its leadership and vision, and to the participating organizations, sponsors, volunteers, athletes, families, and Portsmouth community members who made the weekend possible.
We encourage everyone to learn more about the Robinson Family Foundation, follow its work, and support the mission behind RFF Weekend. The weekend may have started at Treadwell, but its impact reaches far beyond the rooftop.
